1. Organiser

This competition is run by Laid Bare Music Ltd (“the Organiser”). For any queries, please contact: info@laidbaremusic.com.

2. Eligibility

Open to any songwriters aged 18+ based in the United Kingdom.
No prior songwriting credits are required.
Entrants must have a public Instagram account so entries can be verified.
Not open to employees, contractors or immediate family members of Laid Bare Music Ltd.

3. Rules & How to Enter

Follow @laidbaremusic on Instagram.
Share any Song Summit post to your Instagram Story.
Tag @laidbaremusic in each Story share so your entry is counted.
Every tagged Story counts as one entry.
You may enter multiple times.
You may gain one additional entry for every songwriter friend you tag in the comments of the main competition post.
Entries open upon the post going live and close 11:59 AM (Greenwich Mean Time) on Friday 14 November 2025.

4. Prize

Two winners will receive a fully-funded one-day place at the Song Summit songwriting retreat, taking place 19–21 November 2025.
Each winner will attend one assigned day of the retreat. Day assignment will be determined by the Organiser based on capacity and schedule.
The prize includes a return train ticket from London to the retreat location (up to £50 value – excess costs borne by the winner).
Winners may participate in networking opportunities, observe writing sessions and sit in on workshops.
Winners will not be guaranteed songwriting credits, writing placements, co-writing ownership, or commercial release opportunities. Any crediting will only occur if mutually agreed upon during the retreat.

5. Winner Selection & Notification

Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries.
Winners will be contacted via direct message from @laidbaremusic within 24 hours of the competition closing.
Winners must respond within 24 hours to confirm acceptance of the prize.
If a winner does not respond in time, the Organiser reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

6. Prize Conditions

The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative services.
Winners must be available to attend the retreat on their assigned date.
Winners must arrange their own travel to the London departure point if their train ticket begins in London.
Any additional personal expenses are the responsibility of the winner.

7. Exclusions & Disclaimers

The Organiser reserves the right to withdraw, amend or cancel the competition at any time due to unforeseen circumstances.
The Organiser is not responsible for lost, incomplete or unviewable entries (e.g., private accounts, Story errors, or failure to tag).
Participation in the retreat is primarily observational and educational, providing valuable insights and experiences. It does not create any professional or contractual relationship between the winner and any Song Summit participants.
This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram.

By entering, entrants confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
