This four-piece band consisting of Archy Nelson (frontman), Harry Baker (Lead guitar), Declan Haughian (Drums and backing vocals) and Jack Hosgood (Bass and backing vocals), have had ever-growing attention following the release of their single Tiger Song.
But that is not where it ends for this 'feel-good' quartet from Brighton, with the release of new single Easy.
The Hungry Mothers have taken a fresh and soulful approach to the Americana genre, creating their own unique sound. Easy is built on the foundations of warming harmonies and country blues; delicate, but full of energy too, leaving their listeners tapping their feet and wanting more.
The narrative of this song explores the comfortable feeling between two individuals that are in a romantic relationship, stating, “it’s easy, so easy just hanging around with you”. The lyrics are beautifully put together, forging the notion that the couple’s relationship is playful and happy. The Hungry Mothers successfully take their listeners on this romantic journey, reminding them of a beautiful summer romance and feeling optimistic about the summertime. This is just one of the reasons why this song is perfect for the summer because it’s redemptive melody compliments the happy emotions explored in the lyrics.
The Hungry Mothers are currently on a UK tour, do not miss out!
